Day 1: Arrival Addis Ababa City Tour
On arrival Addis Ababa Kasina Tours representative will meet you at Bole international Airport and you will visit the diplomatic capital of Africa, headquarters of the Africa union starting from Holy Trinity Cathedral (The church is constructed in 1955 for the 25 years anniversary of Emperor Haileselassie and painted richly with remarkable biblical and other saint’s story), National museum (home of Lucy hominid skeleton dating back to 3.2 million years), afterwards continue to the campus of Addis Ababa University to the Ethnographical museum, with great displays of the many cultures of Ethiopia, housed in the former palace of Haile Selassie. In the afternoon proceed to Mountain Entoto, here you will visit the Entoto Mariyam church and Museum. Overnight hotel
Day 2: Excursion to Debre Libanos & Portuguese Bridge/ Departure
After Early breakfast, we leave Addis on the Gojjam road over the Entoto Mountains passing through the Sululta plains to the monastery of Debre Libanos. Debre Libanos is one of Ethiopia’s most reputed Orthodox monastic enclaves. Founded in the 13th century by Abune Teklehaymanot. The church with its magnificent murals is surrounded by breathtaking and overwhelming scenery. The monastery complex sits on a terrace between a cliff and the gorge. Then continue to the Portuguese bridge. Jemma River is one of the tributaries of the Blue Nile River, and there is a drop of nearly 1000 meters to the valley below. The scenery is stunning, and it is very peaceful. After the visit, drive back to Addis Ababa and conclude your day with a traditional dinner accompanied by live cultural music and dance, offering a taste of Ethiopia’s rich heritage. Then transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
